DIVISIONS

PGSA Adult League host 3 main divisions outlined below. The League designed the Open/Coed Division to separate teams by their level of play, allowing players to enjoy a more balanced system of competitiveness. This opened a new development in 2025 to institute a promotion and relegation system between the two Groups. The framework of this system takes last place team in Group A relegates them to Group B and the first place team in Group B is promoted to Group A. However, such decisions are always reviewed to ensure that they make sense as teams can often change as players come and go, affecting their level of play and competitiveness.

  • Open/Coed Division
    • Group A: A competitive group designed for teams with high level of play and skill. Players and teams in this group demonstrate a stronger sense of the game and mechanics. (Men and Women 18+)
    • Group B: A less competitive group for teams showing a mix of beginner to intermediate level of play. Players who are new or have some rust and wear or want a more controlled pace to the game are recommended to join this group. (Men and Women 18+)
  • Women’s Division
    • An all women division with a range of players from beginner to competitive level of play and skill. This division was recently formed in 2024 demonstrating the growing community of women soccer athletes and enthusiast wanting to play organized matches. (Women 18+)
  • Over 40’s Division
    • A division for players 40 years old and older with a range of skill levels and mechanics. Designed for older players who still want to play organized matches but at an appropriate pace for the age group. There is an exception for Women 18+ who can play on a team in this division.
